Technobell has backgrounds in the chemical industry and its first core business was the technology to transform N-butane into Maleic Anhydride (MA). In parallel Technobell developed also the technology for obtaining Phthalic Anhydride (PA) from O-xylene. Once these two technologies were fully mastered and several plants worldwide were equipped with Technobell made equipment it was time to move upwards in the products chain.
The next technology to evolve was an obvious one conceived by mixing MA and PA with styrene and glycols in order to obtain polyester resins. When developing this technology Technobell developed also hundreds of resin recipes that are used by many reputable resin producers.
Finally the polyester resin was the main ingredient of Technobell’s specialty – the Glass Reinforced Polyester (GRP) pipes production technology. Although less complex than the previously developed technologies the heart of the last one is also a chemical reaction. When polyester resin is mixed with catalyst, accelerator fibre reinforcements and inorganic fillers are added the only guarantee that the end product – GRP pipe – will be of proper quality is a successful chemical bonding between the aforementioned components.
Technobell is the only company in the world that has a deep knowledge of this chemical process due to its abovementioned chain of technologies. Consequently the Technobell technology for GRP pipes manufacturing is the most advanced on the market in terms of production output and process reliability and our clients can use our knowledge to maximize their competitiveness.
